Fiery Artist / Electrifying Performance / Groove Music / Wild Romance
Sam Rodrigues is a solo artist from Utrecht but of Brazilian origin. The music has clear goals in mind: Energize, lock the listener on the beat and make him and her hum the hook on the way back home. Hence the self-invented genre: Electrical Groove Pop. His sound might make you think of a few classic acts but make no mistake, Sam Rodrigues is very much his own man and he wants you to join the party.
In april 2016, Sam Rodrigues released his debut single 'Animal' and later on the same month he released his debut EP, which is also named 'Animal'. The record was produced by JJJ Sielcken (Most known by his work with Jett Rebel & Lucas Hamming) and was met with enthusiasm. Live uit Lloyd thought it was "Musically tasteful and just as danceable as Prince, Timberlake & Jamiroquai.". Soon after the release, Sam Rodrigues & his band played shows & festivals throughout the Netherlands and work on the 2nd EP has already started.
